Why can I not find the scanner during Bluetooth pairing?

The scanner is paired but the application receives no data. What should I check?

In HID mode, place the cursor in an editable field and test a plain text application. For SPP, BLE or COM, check that the application opens the correct channel. Also check that the barcode symbology is enabled.

How do I add Enter, Tab or another suffix?

Use the configuration procedure in the exact model's manual. Enter or CR normally advances to a new line, while Tab moves to the next field. The host application's behavior can differ.

Why are some scanned characters incorrect?

Check that the scanner's country keyboard setting matches the host keyboard layout. Character encoding, data formatting and prefix or suffix settings can also affect output.

Why does one barcode scan while another does not?

Can it read tiny barcodes or distant shelf labels?

Select the scan engine for the required code density and distance. Send an actual sample and target distance for testing instead of assuming every 2D scanner has the same working range.

Can a standard 2D scanner read DPM marks?

Direct part marks on metal or other materials often require dedicated DPM optics and decoding. Select a DPM configuration and test representative parts, surface finishes and lighting conditions.

How long will the battery last?

Runtime depends on the model, scanning frequency, wireless mode, feedback settings and environment. Use the selected configuration's specification and a representative workflow test.

Does the scanner store scans offline?

Some wireless models support batch storage. Capacity, upload steps and deletion behavior vary by model. Confirm that uploaded data is complete before clearing stored records.

What should I send to support when there is a problem?
